The British Embassy in Phnom Penh does not process visas locally; all applications are processed by the Visa Service of the British Embassy in Bangkok. All visa applicants aged five or over, irrespective of nationality, are required to provide their biometric data - fingerscans and a digital photograph in support of their application.

All visa applicants resident in Cambodia regardless of nationality must:

1. Submit a visa application form online at the www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk website then:

Attend the British Embassy Phnom Penh in person to submit the paper copy of the online application and to give their biometric data. Applicants must come to the British Embassy with:

• their passport;
• a paper copy of the completed online application form;
• a passport photograph;
• the supporting documents specified in the documents checklist;
• the appropriate fee in US Dollars
• all applicants in Cambodia wishing to come to the United Kingdom for a period longer than six months will need to obtain a certificate [PDF, 25 KB] confirming that they are free from infectious tuberculosis (TB) before submitting their visa application.

The British Embassy in Phnom Penh will then forward the visa application and all accompanying documentation to the British Embassy in Bangkok for processing. The expected visa processing time is 4 working days. The 4 days' processing time is for straightforward applications and depends on all required documents being submitted at the time of the application. We are unable to process visa application any faster, applicants are therefore advised to begin the application process in good time. In some instances, applicants may be asked to travel to Bangkok to attend an interview at the British Embassy. When the visa application process is complete, applicants’ passports and documents will be available for collection from the British Embassy in Phnom Penh.
