You should read this page to have all the information you need to apply for your passport.

The British Embassy in Phnom Penh does not issue full 10-year passports. Applications for these passports are forwarded for processing in Bangkok. Applications must be lodged at the British Embassy Phnom Penh. A receipt will be issued for the paid fee.

Passport services at our Embassy:

We offer the following services:

• collection of passport application forms (the form must be submitted by the person making the application)
• collecting the LS01 form if you report your passport as lost or stolen
• collecting your passport fee from you in person (the fee must be paid in US Dollars and in cash)

In emergency situations, the British Embassy in Phnom Penh can issue Temporary Passports valid for up to one year and Emergency Passports valid for a single journey back to the UK.

What to submit:

• your completed application form
• your 2 identical passport photographs (which meet the required standard)
• the compulsory and desirable documents you are advised to submit with your passport application
• your previous passport
• the correct fee in US Dollars and in cash

Processing your passport application:

We can arrange for your documents to be sent by courier to/from Bangkok. The current courier fee is USD 43 (Phnom Penh-Bangkok: USD 18 and Bangkok-Phnom Penh: USD 25). This service takes about 3 weeks.

Application forms are provided free of charge and available at the Embassy.

Our staff will not be able to process your application or there may be a delay in issuing your passport if:

• you have used the wrong form or completed it incorrectly
• your photographs do not meet the required standard
• you do not provide the correct fee
• you do not include the correct courier charge, if applicable.

Payment for all passport services must be paid in US Dollars and in cash. 

From 2 February 2009 the British Embassy in Cambodia will conduct interviews [PDF, 41 KB] as part of the passport application process.  Please allow time for applying for your passport, as you may require an interview.
